I have a problem with the shape generator not playing back shapes. All I get out of the lights is a jerky bouncy shake. Sometimes I get nothing at all. When I re-patch all the lights oftentimes they will work fine. If I re-load my first (saved) show they dont work again. Whatever the problem is its saved with the shows. I've had the same problem on our expert running in classic mode but never in Titan mode.

I came across a similar problem in the forum and the solution was to download a shape file and update the files in the board. The link in the forum is to a text file and I am unsure how to get that into the board as an actual shapefile.

Download the shape file, SG.DAT, and save it to a floppy disk. With the floppy disk in the console, turn the key to System, press G [Utilities] then E [Load Shape File] and Enter to confirm.

For the Expert I 'think' you copy the file to the Classic personality directory (c:\program files\avolites\personalities\r20) and then program/patch/fixture. IIRC this causes fixtures to be indexed and the shapefile is loaded at the same time. This might only work the first time you do this after starting the software. Could be wrong about all that though. Don't think I've ever heard of this occuring on Expert Classic.
