Last night when I fired up my board I noticed that it did not have the playbacks stored in my board, that I have had for about a year. I got wise and just loaded my auto save file. I got everything back. I decide that after my show I would save the current show in the board. I when I went to save it it looked like everything was going well and then an error message came up, told me that the program had error and it would have to shut down the diamond program. I clicked ok and then a window popped up and said that it wanted to email the problem. As I dont have a email program on the board I clicked cancel.
I clicked on restart of the software (the little box on the right had of the screen0 and restarted the software. It said that it did not save the last show and to load a previous show. I want back to the auto save and tried to save it as a named show. It saved but it was real short. I thought that was weird and save it again. I got the same quick save.
So then I thought i would just load that file and see what was saved. It only saved the dimmers and none of the movers.
Ok so I just go back to the auto save. But guess what. When I loaded the show I got the samething. All dimmers and no movers. Weird.
I shut down the board by the switch on the front. (which is how i shut it down every night - just to save the question)
Boot it back up and get the show was not saved and choose different show. All of my previous shows are like this. I did get one to load with movers but it was from when our rig was laid out different.
I got some hope and when back to the most recent show and got no movers again. Went back to the oldest and the movers were not there anymore.
Some info:
Using system version 2.2
When loaded shows, show that dimmers are being loaded and then that's it.
Flipped switch on back to see if cut of power and then complete boot would work. No it did not.
Looked at the save files in the explorer as you would in a computer and saw that all shows are 1,000kb to 6,000kb Except the newest ones that i saved after the crash.
Can't figure out what went wrong, saved the shows that i had on a usb drive and am going to use the recovery disk (v2.4) to see if that will work.
Any ideas Guys?????

I can't help with why this has happened but one thing you could try to load the xml version of the show.
The d4z files are compressed folders containing a binary (d4b) and an xml (shw) file. The binary is normally used as it is quicker to load. Rename the d4z extension to zip, open the folder, extract show.shw and try loading that.
