Im using titan v4 on a pearl expert. I'm trying to make a chase that crossfades between colors on axis led's from mega lite. For instance, I want the first step to be red and the second blue, with a smooth 30 sec. crossfade from red through shades of magenta and smoothly to blue. Regardless of the the crossfade setting it always snaps from one color to the next.
Running in classic mode the pearl has no issue, if my memory serves correctly, its a simple case of recording two steps and setting it to a full fade between steps....
Help!
LED Chase Crossfade

Im not at the console for the next few days. I think I tried it both ways, but Ill check again after the weekend.
Is it important to set red and green to 0 or OFF for a blue look?
Or to include/not include them in the programmer?
Should it be as simple as setting red only and saving it by channel to the first cue, and then blue only and saving that as a second cue?

It depends on the record mode.
These are the same as in Classic - by fixture (default), by channel and by stage.
By channel is only values in the programmer. Using this mode you would normally ensure all colour components are in the programmer before storing a cue although the option is always there to deliberately only record specific ones if you needed.
By fixture is all attributes for any fixtures in the programmer. A fixture enters the programmer the first time it is selected and will remain so even if it is subsequently deselected until cleared. This mode guarantees you would restore the look of a fixture when recalled but of course this includes everything - gobos, colour, position etc.
By stage records all dmx values regardless of programmer. Mostly useful in a situation where you need to capture everything quickly. You might then edit it later on.
OFF can be used to get rid of things you don't want. For example if you are using record by fixture you could deliberately exclude certain things or remove values from existing cues by merging.
After you set the record mode it will remain until you next change it or start a new show.
Values in the programmer are highlighted in LCD wheel view, the Attribute Editor workspace and in the Channel Grid workspace. In the Channel Grid workspace if you toggle the context menu item 'output' to 'programmer' it will only show you fixtures currently in the programmer. I find this to be particularly useful. Similarly, values can be entered using all three methods. The attribute editor allows you to toggle items in and out by clicking (with the exception of colour mixing and keystone/blade controls at the moment). The channel grid allows numeric entry or removal by clicking on the relevant cell.
Finally, clear has a mask function where you can use it to remove attributes from the programmer. Hold clear to see the options.
