diamond 4 titan palette latch problem

I used use the latch softbutton on the palette recall menu all the time; since upgrading my diamond 4 to titan i find i can't select any other fixtures after i've latched the menu!

is there something obvious in the user settings that i'm missing?
it's a little annoying...
