I've some troubles with the pearl '08.

I created a fixture for a sunstrip with 10dim channels. All set with the property "H" for dimmer. When i load this fixture everything works fine.
Then load a dimmer shape and everything works ok..... But;
When saving the shape or clear the shape from the programmer, the software of the pearl crashed. The only recover option is the powerbutton on the back for a fresh restart.

I have the same problem with a fixture that contains 4 * RGB channel. The shape will run, but when saving or clearing the shape the pearl is death.

Is this something that can be solved? Or the pearl can't handle more than one of the same function in a fixture?

I'm fairly sure that with the exception of '0' (zero) = uncategorised, all attribute types must be unique.

However, I can't see what you achieve by having all the same type since it is attribute type that determines how the shape gen works.

With the Sunstrips if you are looking to create shapes with spreads across the cells I would give each cell its own type, probably starting with Gobo1 (to keep it above colour mixing and P/T). So maybe I,J,K,L,M,N,O,P,Q,R. Then create some custom shapes where you use the corresponding channels (9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18 ) with various phase offsets. Since you cannot adjust the spread within a fixture from the software itself you must create all the various options you may need.

That should work fine. You can apply the same principle to the 4xRGB. The number of permutations for shapes is obviously greater but if you know what colour/spreads you need it's not too bad.
