Hi,
We have bought a the Tiger Touch desk, and we like to extend the desk with a tailor made remote control.
Is Avotalk the best practice to communicate with the desk, or are there other better options?
Are there any examples?
I am an experienced programmer in Java and .NET.

Avotalk for remote control?

Hi,
There is enough functionality in the Titan remote control, but we like to add an extra access channel with faders (for dimmers not directly part of the show) and button control (start playbacks, etc.) for busking purposes. Something like dmx-in control.
An other request is to add a new active fixture to start powerpoint slides, movies an other apps via the lightdesk.
Can you help me?
Kind regards,
Sybren

I think that kind of control access is probably unlikely.
However, a couple of options:
Theoretically you can add an external touch screen.
Midi triggering (targetted for v5).
For triggering video/powerpoint etc. have a look at Screen Monkey software. This can be controlled by Artnet and I believe CITP is due in next version.
