Hi, I've been running the Pearl 2004 Console. I wipe all my console then turn it off. When I turn it on again, the AVOS2 menu show up and I select "A:Start the System". I patch all my lights and save playbacks. After I finish programming, I turn the off the console again. But when I turn it on again, the AVOS2 menu shows up again, so I select the same option (A:Start the System), then all my programming was lost; no light patch, no playbacks saved, nothing.

What should I do to save my programming & not entering the AVOS2 menu when I turn on my console?

Check 'program links' jumpers on motherboard. Make sure the AVOS link is not connected.

Otherwise it is possible battery is dead?

What do you mean battery is dead? I've been operating this console for about 2,5 years and nothing ever happens..

There is a battery for power to maintain show memory. A typical symptom of losing show information is a failed battery. You can test voltage with a multimeter. It should be 3.6V.

Contact service for more information.

Is there any other possibilities to this problem? This is the first time it happens. The board have been running normally for about 2 half year and I never do any "Wipe"; it has the same patching for 2 half years. But when I turn on the console last week, the AVOS2 menu showed up.

Everything works until it goes wrong. Those are the only two ideas I can think of although I'm sure there can be other reasons which is why you should contact service.
