Two external screens?

Postby SL » 26 Jul 2010, 16:39

Is it possible to have 2 external screens? One with the visualizer, and one with the HUD? Both on the expert, and one with a adaptor from USB to VGA.

Did somebody tryed it already, or do i have to search tomorrow? :P

Thanks already!

Whoei, it works. I now have two separate screens.

Only thing; When i open the Visualiser it comes on screen 1. When i open the HUD it comes also on screen 1. Now the problem. I can`t drag those screens to the other screen. Is there a way i can do that?

You can launch the Vis executable separately. Just make sure you close the one in workspaces first if necessary as multiple instances are not permitted.

You should be careful about running 3rd party drivers. It might make your system unstable. Also probably worth keeping an eye on how much resources are required to drive video over usb.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE dont do this!!!!

We have tested this here and it causes massive instability in the console. The on-board graphics chip is designed to run two monitors. The USB adapters piggy back the graphics chip to provide more monitors but it does not like this very much.

I later removed all, because i found out it`s still working without seeing the HUD.
