hi everybody, and this is what happens,pls help me find out why,thx

this happens during a dance event and the console is a pearl2008 which has the software up to date.

i was running in RUN-takeover mode.i have some faders containing shapes on them and i change color gobo etc.. using palettes.

i was hitting the console a little bit fast as usual and sunndenly i dont konw what i been hit the console freezes a little second and then i found this:

i CLEAR the console, lower all faders to get a fresh restart,but then i notice one of the moving heads still lit.

then i reset both CONSOLE and FIXTURE,turns out to be following

with all faders down to zero,i hit clear and that fixture still lit with a dmx value of 170.

when rising one of the playback swop, as other fixture goes from 0 to 255,this fixture goes from 170-255,vice versa.

dimmer can be manually turn to zero,but returns to 170 after hitting CLEAR.

i have no idea what led to this and i have to turn the lamp off.

===========

i hope i've made myself clear and hope someone could tell me what i've been hit by mistake and how to change that fixture back to normal.

Usual reasons for this would be either intensity held by preset fader after changing fixture page or a fixture fault.
I wonder if there is a faulty preset fader or similar circuit board problem that is causing the software to think this value is being sent?

Go to system/service/diagnostic screen and move the relevant preset fader up and down and check the values. It should go from 0 to FF. Often bad faders will jump values when wobbled side-to-side.

I have once experienced similar problem and cause was faulty fader. However I was able to get it back to 0 by applying pressure to fader - I used duct tape (God bless the inventor:) to temporary fix it.
