Martin Show Designer

Postby gym1339 » 08 Sep 2004, 01:42

Has anyone used Martin Show Designer with the Pearl 2004? Is it a good combination? What is the ACDI (hardware or software) and why do I need one to connect my console to my computer if I use the Martin PCMCIA card? Has anyone used such a card and if so which one (1024 or 2048 ch).

Thanks

If you use the Martin PCMCIA card then there is no need to use the ACDI.

The ACDI is a software application that allows you to use the Midi Serial Interface cable to connect the desk to Martin Show Designer.

For more information please refer to the ACDI page:

You can also use an ethernet cable, with an ETC-ethernet/dmx switch. This way you can use up to 8 universes dmx for MSD. I used this combination a lot (aswell Pearl as the new Diamond 4). Love MSD and Avo, the combination works for me.
