Hi,

I've got two questions about cue lists in Titan:

1. Is it possible to program advanced things like attribute timing and fading in/out times per cue whilest in 'cue programming' mode (the mode you get when you start programming a new cue list).

2. Is there a VDU view available for cue list viewing? I kind of liked the old theatre stack mode which displayed the cues on the VDU and followed the active cue. I found the cue list in the Show Library view (as I recall) but that doesn't step along with the active cue (it does flicker on GO, but it doesn't show the current active cue). A dedicated view for theatre things would be great.


I've got some theatre things coming up in a few weeks and I'm still not sure whether to use classic or titan mode for this.

1) Not in 1.2 but you will be able to in next version.

2) Negative. Not yet!

I would highly recommend trying to use the new cue list functionality in v1.3 as from my experience it is allot easy to use and has more functionality.

As Nick has said you will have individual cue attribute times in v1.3 which is due out very soon.

You do have the connected cue list view which shows you the live, next and cue legends. In edit times you get the list with the timing information. What else are you missing? I know it is not the full cue list view and that is coming.

Note that in 1.3 to get attribute times you must first store the cue, then enter this existing cue number into the number field which changes the edit times softkey to provide a more comprehensive menu.

Yeah I know, I also found out it's possible to quickly edit times of a numer of cues in the VDU view. Pressing enter will edit the fade field and you can skip down to the next cue and edit it right away; very nice.

What I would want it the possibility to view a couple of cue lists (in the same sequence as the faders are raised) on the VDU. That screen should have a black background (since a white monitor in a theatre setting is not really appreciated) and should show the cue list about 300-400 pixels wide, and 100% height of the screen. That should display the list with the selected cue highlited and some things like fade-in, fade-out times. I'm not interested in other stuff like attribute times whilest playing back a cue list.

Also I was very keen on the possibility in the old theatre stack to manually fade a cue with the faders, perhaps you could make that possible again too (not too sure how though).


I never was a great fan of cue lists, but maybe that's because I never learned how to use them properly. I liked the old theatre stack though it did have some negative things to it. I'm ashamed to write this, but our old Zero88 Frog consoles (which we don't have any more) did have a nice way of running a theatre show; clear display, easy to jump up and down using the arrows, very easy to create loops between different cues and still not too complicated to program. A view like that on the VDU would be excellent if you ask me, but hey; there are more users out there, I get that

For manual fading there is currently playback option to crossfade by fader. Not sure if this is quite what you want but thought I'd mention it.

I did want to pick up on your comment about the black background. I couldn't agree more. I'm already running external displays at minimum brightness but still a white window is almost painful when your eyes have adjusted to a dark stage.

(to Olie) The screens for tiger touch are ideal, but it did make me think about cue-list times/view fixture patch which currently have the white background.
