Azure Shadow 2004 and an Apollo Right Arm

Postby theisbr » 22 Aug 2009, 04:12

We are considering purchasing some Apollo Right Arms to use with some ERS fixtures. Am I able to patch the dimmer into the fixture button for the right arm? Am I able to have control over the dimmer and the movement of the fixture with the same Fixture button, or am I going to have to press one button to adjust intensity and a different button to adjust the Pan/Tilt. On a different console that I have used, they allowed for this type of situation where we have a color changer (DMX) on a Source4 (Dimmer), but the desk controls it as one device.

Thanks

You can do this from the same button.

This situation is called 'pending dimmer' in the Avo software. Patch fixture to handle and then patch dimmer to same handle.

However, it appears none of the existing personalities have been written like this. If you are comfortable editing this yourself then a pending dimmer is defined by setting a DMX offset of zero, otherwise you can request in the usual place.

Thanks for the confirmation. I am not familiar with editing the profiles, but I will take a look at it.
