No Head Up Display

Postby SL » 10 Aug 2009, 16:36

Hi,

I`ve just installed the new 1.2 version of Titan on my Pearl Expert. Everything is fine, but i don`t see the head up display, with all the legends and information of my patch, playbacks and pallettes. I`ve searched in the manual, but i didn`t saw anything about it?

Greetings

You may need to load a state first:

View.
[Load VDU state]
Choose a state - ie. bottom third

This will then store on shutdown and restore whenever you use the console.

Also make sure there are no windows in front. By default the D4 window maximises and can hide things. Personally I always resize this to avoid the HUD and shell.

Ok, thank you. I will check it tomorrow. With the windows i`ve checked, i`ve minimalised the big titan screen, but nothing to see. But again, thank you!

Oh, another question, but just about update 1.2. In the releas notes:

# Wheels:

The wheels now have acceleration when controlling fixture attributes allowing you scroll through large ranges quickly. You can now also use Shift-Wheel to quickly change chase and shape parameters.

But when i tried this, i just had to scroll like a cray man on my wheels. Can this not much faster? I`ve had to scroll so long, before i was at 100% with a parameter, my wrist was starting of having pain. This was just with 4 fixtures, so i hope my wrist is gonna survive this weekend, with 200+ fixtures...... So maybe it`s possible to update this, hopely for this weekend?

It should be fast as it is. I've never had any problems. If you move a wheel slowly it should give fine edit and if you move fast it should give coarse (as an example).

For very fast hold [shift], just as with classic.

There are no settings for this so I have no idea why this would not be working. What fixtures are you trying?

I`ve tried with personality`s for CLS Pixelbar 36, Qmaxz 250 spot and wash, generic RGB, Generic RGB + Vdim, 4x Generic RGB + Vdim... And all have the same problem. When i tried with the AVO button in (that`s the SHIFT, right?), it didn`t work either, because i got in some menu`s or so.

Shift will bring up a menu but it also acts as fast wheels. This is the same as classic.

How did you install the software? 1.2 recovery CD or upgrade from 1.1.1?

Upgrade from 1.1.1. I`ve noticed today that sometimes it works, but sometimes not. This was then when i was making a cuelist. At some cues he did the speed up, but sometimes he didn`t, while i was doing the same all the time.

Oh, thank you, i`ve found the HUD screen. I didn`t realise that HUD stands for Head Up Display

I think there might be a problem with using shift+wheel while creating a cue-list.
