Best productive time on a tiger

Hi everyone I'm a very shy new member and have the use of a spanking new Tiger for a few days. Coming from sound I must admit my knowledge of complex-ish lighting consoles is limited.
I run my own small lighting setup every once in a while.
Martin Freekie,
5 x MX4's
3 x CX4
4 PRO400'S
A few led's
2 x Powerdrive easy hoist 440 3.5mtr cranks 2 x 3mtr trilite.
I can do effective band lighting with washes and sharp scanner action all held together with gaffer and my seven fingered hands. I really do enjoy lighting for bands and seem to have pleased quite a few so far so at the moment I have been lent a Tiger and access to four Mac krypton's, four 250+'s various 4watt LED's, i-PIX and another two Easy hoists etc.
I thought I'd introduce myself and who I am and hope of maybe doing some decent local lighting work maybe next season after studying up a bit on all things bright and weighty.
I must say at the local level there doesn't seem to be much in the way of budgets regarding lighting, which is a real shame as nothings more stunning than watching a effective light show in a smaller venue these days! Anyhow, I'm slowly working my way round the concept of light programming but am finding it tricky to say the least. Creatively I have few issues but the learning curve does seem a little steep. I refer to the programming concept side more than anything.
It's great fun and I will be doing small festivals perhaps and my own bands/projects and am wondering whether there are a few sites/books, overall theories I should apply myself to.
Anyway "hi guys" I bow to your greatness and be gentle!
Regarding the Tiger, any advice? Also anyone know why my MX4's wont fade up/down smoothly? It's either on or off!
The engine driver...
