Using shapes to fade between looks

Postby Ari- » 22 May 2009, 23:29

It is possibe to use shapes to fade between looks? For example if my first look is open white and the second blackout. Then I want to dim down the fixtures not all at once, but using a shape such as "dimmer spread" in order to blackout'em gradually and assimetrically.

Now I'm using a Pearl 2008.

No. The main reason is that they auto-repeat.

I can't think of any way to do this other than with a chase. Perhaps set first step with all on, with link turned off. Following steps perform the asymmetric fade to B/O with links on and 'stop on final step'.

At appropriate moment, fade in this chase, kill original intensity playbacks and then hit [go] to execute the fade.
