PixelRange Strobing Effect

Hello forum,

I'm kinda a newbie to programming for the avo platform, so please help me out.

We have a Pearl 2004 console with (6) PixelRange RGBA pixel bricks.

On other consoles/LED systems, I've been able to make programs where the LEDs strobe VERY fast, almost as fast as strobe lights.

I've tried do this by playing back shapes and speeding them up, but it hasn't worked, any other ideas?

How can I get the desired effect? Thanks in advance!!

Use their built-in effects for this. Set units to 24+E or 4+E and patch either the associated personality or separate fx/cell(s) if you prefer.

Maybe I've installed the wrong personality??

I have (6) of these units:

http://pixelrange.com/pixelrange/product_arch.htm

It says in the "Features" that it is... "Pre-programmed with 2 overlapping sets of effects, each with 31 patterns"

We have ZERO programs or anything. On our console, if you select the fixture we only have values for Red 0%-255% Blue 0%-255% and so on for green and amber.

I've searched all over for the correct personality, do you think I installed the wrong one??

If your pearl 2004 does not contain 2008 software then it will only have a cache library which represents a really small amount of our library. If you do have 2008 software on your 2004 pearl then i would suggest updating the library from the personality website

Either way you can find the personalities you are after on disk 9. If running pearl 2004 software then just download this disk and extract it to a floppy disk then stick in your pearl and patch straight from it.

With the 2008 just download the whole library and run the .exe you download. It will ask where to extract it. Extract it to a usb stick. then stick it in your desk and then patch straight from it.
