How to change values of Locate Fixture

Postby PP » 03 Aug 2004, 15:41

Hi,

I would like to know how I can change the values for fixtures when I do a Locate Fixture.
I.e.: When you invert attributes, let's say teh CMY-wheels for a Mac600 then the values of this attributes need to be 100 instead of 0 to get open white.
So how can I change this for the Locate Fixture?

Thanx in advance

Hello,

You can only edit the values of the locate function in the personality file. To do so, open the personality file with notepad, and go to the table that starts with DMX.

Now the third column from the right gives the values for a "locate fixture". Simply alter the values 255 int 0 for Cyan, Magenta and Yellow.

That's it. Invert your fixtures on the panel and there you go.

You can obtain te same result by changing the value in the "inversion" column, setting an "I" (inverted) instead of "N" (normal), with the advantage that you will invert also the "Hilight" and "Lolight" values with the same action.

P.D. Notice that in the numbering of columns the 6th (curve number) and the 7th (inversion) are joined together, showing something like "1N", that you should change to "1I" or vice versa.
