Postby Adamastor » 20 Oct 2012, 21:24

Hi,

After a few months with titan mobile, my first big problem,
THE console don't send DMX, The fixtures show green Led, meaning that they are reciving DMX, but nothing work!!
I Alredy Start a new show, change dmx cables, put a fixture near mobile, reiniciate computer, change USB cables from posicion, but every time That I connect a fixture direct To mobile THE fixture indicates That DMX is ok! But... Nothing moves....
This was with moving heads and parleds

Any ideias?

Check in DMX settings that the Expert DMX nodes are assigned to the appropriate lines.

Hi, I have had the same problem after installing v6.0. on a PC with XP pro, The DMX output is no longer assigned to any of the output lines.
I have reported it as it seems to be a bug.
Also when using USB expert I can no longer put the mobile panel in boot mode to perform firmware update.
In win 7 everything works as it should.

Only some thoughts:

@Adamastor: did this happen with a show from v5, loaded into v6? Did you notice that upon loading the show, you can select whether to load the dmx settings from the show? This is a change from v5. In v5, DMX settings were always in a separate file, whilst in v6 they are stored within the showfile. Hence you have the option to load the dmx settings from the showfile - which are not available in a v5 show.

@SLS: a minor problem I ran into several times on XP: when you enter boot mode, the mobile identifies itself as a new USB device. Windows ought to display the 'new hardware found' message - but sometimes this is hidden behind other windows, or at least I plainly ignored it. However, when entering boot mode, you have to go through the hardware install jungle, and then you should be fine.

Please note that regarding DMX settings it is a known issue and is detailed in the release notes for v6.0.

OK on the DMX setting being known, I wasnt sure if it had been reported but thanks.
The Panel boot mode problem,
The panel is fine in the USB expert but as soon as you put it in boot mode it comes up with loads of
'unable to read'
'pipe line is curupted'
error's until the panel crashs and is no longer responsive.
Only fixed by disconnection of USB.
