What is the fastest and best way to train up on the Pearl?. I am waiting for the training department to get back to me but unfortunatly I do not have a lot of time (1 1/2 weeks)

It is quite an intuitive board to use. If it is only you who needs to learn I suggest downloading the Pearl Simulator, Visualiser and the Demo Theatre (only way to use them together for free) and the manual and have a play.

If you are reasonably experienced with other consoles, then I don't think you will find it particularly difficult. I would say the biggest hurdle is to understand the patching system as getting this right makes all the difference.
I would also recommend familiarising yourself with the difference between 'record by channel' and 'record by fixture'.

Another way is to find someone you know or a venue locally who can guide you through it. Where abouts are you?

/Edit: doh! now I read your location... maybe there is someone reading who is local to you?

Haha! Well, if you've got a console there then you'll be fine.

Any questions, feel free to PM me.
