Device space used up?

Device space used up?
I have a pearl tiger. I am trying to patch a led par using a generic profile, it says "patch failed device space used up". Have any ideas how to fix this? I have a feeling there is something easy I am overlooking.

As Nick has said the Classic software has certain size limits in the software and once you reach these limits it will not let you record any more. The error message is simply telling you that it has run out of space. You may get this even when it says you have memory free on the LCD as there are multiple spaces of memory and the indicator only tells you about one of them.
You either need to reduce the size of your show by deleting fixtures or switch to Titan.

there is 30 dimmer channels, 6 small scanners, 3 moving heads, 5 strobes, fog machine. I did notice while trying to clean anything up I dont use, when I view the patch on the "VDU" screen it still shows on the list of fixtures on the right side of the screen that I do not use anymore and to the best I knowledge have removed them long ago, but they still show up there. I was a bit suspicious of this but I've looked all over the manual trying to figure out how to remove them but I've seen nothing that I could find.
Is it even possible to run Titan on the classic Pearl tiger?

No, it's not possible to run Titan on the Pearl Tiger.
As far as I know there is no way to completely remove fixtures from the patch in Classic. One of its quirks. It used to be a common problem on tour when adding different house fixtures each day. Eventually you get into trouble and it sounds like that may be what has happened here.
If you have older shows that predate some of the now unused patching then you can try reverting to those.

wow if that is the case I am at a loss for words, I dont understand why someone would design something to do that....
I am still a bit of a rookie on the Pearl and I think I've taught myself to run it a bit different that normal for what I use it for. I do not know exactly what you mean by an older "show"

Sorry I think my terminology is screwed up. I've backed up my console's memory, but I guess I think of saving a show as saving a preprogramed show or act. For example I've seen national acts come to our venue that have multiple saved shows for each song the band plays. I'm sorry if I am just making this more confusing. I'm guessing I should Just wipe the console and start over. Which may not be a bad idea because I need to reorganize everything now that I understand the desk better.

I'd suggest get hold of a USB flashdrive, and save the current state - see manual, page 111, section 1.2.2 of the second part - this way you can always go back to the current state if you need to.
Then I'd do a wipeall, and start over again.
I'd say it might differ very much, but usually I save the first time after the patch is done, second time after the basic pallettes/focus are done, and then every now and then during programming.

We have the same problem here in a venue.
At the venue:
36 dimmers
5 showtec T10 strips
5 SHOWTEC Scorpion scanners
2 Martin mac 250 krypton
30 Ledpar cans. (personalty chanced to HTP)
I work al for a lot of years with the pearl desks but also this is for me strange.
the pearl is on 1.1 software.
If someone have a idea let me know.
Best regards
Frank
