- which windows version?
- did it work before, or is this the first attempt?

If win XP: it's a little more picky regarding drivers then W7. You might need to go through the 'install drivers' dungeon again if the desk is hooked up to other ports.

If it's the first time you try this: maybe the dislog for entering the key is sitting in the background, waiting for your input.

Does it say something about 'offline' (top-right of the windows area)?

And then:
- check system settings, if there are any USB devices which aren't installed properly.
- and finally: open USB Expert console (from Win->Programs->Avolites group), and see what it says...

I had entered the activation code

All USB port's are fine...

In the USBExpert console menu nothing appears... and I selected Tools>repair USB Drives...

My Laptop don´t ativate the power for the console, so I plug the usb cable to a AC adapter, conected to the power, the adapter is 5v 700mA, could it be the couse if this?

The desk consumes close to 500 mA (485 mA last time I measured), so it's still within the USB spec, and so far I know of only one guy who used a separate power supply. In that case, you must make sure polarity is correct (+ on tip, - on shelve).

I'd disconnect everything, reboot the machine, connect the desk, and start the software again. Also, try Alt+Tab, and toggle to see which other windows do appear. Maybe there is another one telling you something like 'service Avolites USB Expert not running'?

Hi,

Reinstaled everything and the same...

if I start the software with the desk desconected appears a screen with "dongle not found", but with the desk connected the software start's fine, but the console don't do anything!

edit: In the USB Expert Console downside appears "acw usb service connected"

I sent you a PM - don't know where you're located, and where your Avo representative is. If it helps, we could do a quick session via Teamviewer.

Essentially, that the dongle is found means one of the two USB leads is correctly connected, and the dongle is fine.

The next thing would be to check the behavior of the keys and faders via USB expert console - and that's exactly what I'd suggest to do via teamviewer. If those controls do nothing in USB Expert, then next call: Avo Service. If they do, it's more an install problem.
