Tiger Touch with Mac101"s

Postby sdm » 22 Feb 2012, 23:15

Running 48 Mac101's on Tiger Touch.

Record Open pulse strobe @ 91% across all units but when it is replayed different strobe effect replayed.

( first 101 flashes then 2 sec later rest flash at once.)

Recorded this effect at faster strobe rates and works fine. and also recorded the 91% rate on Mac 250ent's and works fine.

Is this a issue with the 101's or me?

Any suggestions?

I can't think of any reason this can be.

What are you recording? Palettes or cues?

Recording Cues, and only happens in the slower strobe rates.

Does it look correct before recording the cue?

If this is not an issue you have heard about before it may be due to an error in one of my dmx lines.

My total rig consists of:-

26 Showtec 6 chan LED Pars (Yes I know)

12 Mac 250 Ent's

6 Mac 250 washes

6 Mac 250 washes fitted with heads

24 generics

5 Atomic strobes

Do you think the cheap showtec units could be spiking the dmx line as on the same universe

Hi Sorry fired you a load of info before your reply.

Yes all looks fine as I set up the state, and records to sub fine,

Clear programmer and exit. bring up sub and runs different strobe action.

Recorded several other looks/ cues / chases all as programmed only this strobe position doesn't replay as programmmed.

View the data in the cue by touching the area above the playback twice. Does it contain the correct strobe values?

Bad DMX usually manifests itself as erratic, random problems across all fixtures in a line and I'm sure it's not the issue here. I assume those fixtures (and the 101's) are split into a few different lines anyway?
