Chase in 16 Bits

Postby Nick » 14 Apr 2005, 16:12

Hello,

I would like to know if it's possible to have a movmement between two steps in a chase in 16 Bits?

In fact for low chase (40 sec. , X fade at 100%) we can see the motors steps because it's in 8 bits...

And also, many manufacturers think about 16 bits Dimmer, to have smooth Fade in and Fade out...

thank you for the answer...

If you have patched the fixture correctly in 16Bit mode then the chase fade will be fully 16Bit.

Be aware that with some fixtures, they may not be able to produce smooth movement even though they are 16Bit.
