recovery stick problem

Postby turbojon » 31 Jan 2012, 10:21

Hi.
I have a lot of problems with one of my tiger touch desks. Bluescreens, freezing in startup because its not finding the floppy drive :) ;) , fader problems etc etc.. Settings in BIOS had shanged by it self! I shanged the settings back to normal by looking on the BIOS stettings on one of my other (newer) tiger touch desks.
The desk was working again. For about 6 month then again one bluescreen and it freezing in startup.. Just a grey screen on startup. You never heard the bip in dos. And after some restarts it started to work again..

It is reeeeeeeeally not a giggsafe desk.

Now I have made the dongel switch and I whant to do a recovery again (v5) to be extra shure it will not be any more problems. I have done it before but this time it gives me a messeage in dos, BOOTMRG is missing.
Probelby something wrong with my usb stick. It is not bootable in some way. Can I use the stick avo putted inside te desk and format that one and put v5 recovery in it? (now it is v3) Or is it better to bye a new stick that is bootable? Maby I can make my stick bootable? I dont know.

My thoughts by doing a recovery with v5 is that maby it will clear out all the old uppdates from v3 and old files that is not in use any more. Like a cleanup. I got the tips from one of your sellers who was working on a roadshow in sweden with Interlite.

In my opinion it sounds very much like you have faulty hardware. Maybe bad power supply, maybe something more serious. I would speak to service ASAP.
