Martin Mx10 Focus Problem - Pearl 2004

Postby Willie » 30 Mar 2005, 09:36

HI
Im having the weirdest problem.
when running mx10s some of them doesnt focus properly or at all.
Could this be a personality problem.
they seem to be fine on other desks.

Can you detail what you mean by not focusing properly?

Do you mean you cannot control the Pan/Tilt on some units or it is a palette problem or...?

Or the focus channel :)

I've just looked at the personality, and can't see that appears to be wrong with it when comparing to the DMX protocol in the manual. If it's just some of the lights acting strangely, it sounds to me more like a lights or DMX problem somewhere, since with a personality issue they'd all do exactly the same odd things.

I'd suggest performing a reset on all of them first if you haven't tried, and see if it makes any difference. If not, then as Nic says, more information would be very helpful to solve the problem, either on here, or call me at Avo on (020) 8955 9235

Thanx for your effort but its starting to look like the lights, cause I put them on a compulite and the focus worked, but then one of the lights' gobo channels started doing more or less the same thing.

O its the focus channel like Phil said. don't think its a dmx problem cause I tried them in different configurations and used different cables.

thanx anyway
