Why does it take 15 minutes to save my show

I am using an Azure 2004 Shadow console and it just recently started taking a really long time to save a show to the floppy disk (like 15 minutes). The console is not heavily loaded, about 50 dimmers, 6 movers, 24 LED fixtures and 25-30 cues in a theatre stack. It has always taken a couple of minutes, but in the last couple of weeks it has significantly increased. I did a wipeall and was able to have normal save times for a couple of save events, but now again when I save to disk it takes forever!!!

Any ideas?

Maybe the floppy drive is dirty, de-adjusted, or the floppy is clos to die? If any of those, upon save, the desk needs several attempts to write and verify...

I am thinking it is either a bad disk or a corrupt file. I have loaded a different show on the console and am able to save to that disk in a normal time frame.
