Titan, LED colure fade with a memory?

Postby liteworks » 02 Mar 2011, 21:56

Hi, Trying to figure out how I can program 3 memories: red, blue and green for an rgb led parcan and have the colours fade in/out and mix together on the faders. They program ltp so they just snap between the coulours rather than mixing.. guessing i'm missing somthing obvious...

Also need the colour channels to clear to 0 when hitting clear, is that possible?

Cheers

Set the cues to mode 2 ([Edit Times]/Toggle mode until it reads 'fade by fader').

To get the channels to clear you will need to edit the personality in Personality Builder. Open up the red/green/blue attributes, right-click on each and select Clear/0. Save the file and then in the console go to Program/Patch/Update Personality and it should appear as an option on the softkeys. Select and test.

Thanks Nic, unfortunatly i've already tried that.

It's fine if i fade one colour in and out, then the next, but starts getting a little odd when I try fading 2 colours together. First one of the colours stops clearing to 0 when the fader comes down (faders down, one colour still on), if I then fade the other colour in if now cross fases between the colour that is active (but shouldn't be) and the fader i'm bringing up. (it's holding the value of the first colour at the level the fader was at when the second colour rached 100%).

To clear it I have to bring up the second colour, then the first, take down the seconf, take down the first to get it to black out.

Visuliser is showing the same as the fixture.

Is there any way to make the colour channels behave as an HTP dimmer fader in this situation (as in how patching 3 dimmers would behave)?

Also I've already tried making sure the "clear" values are set in the personality, but thats had no effect clearing the colour mixing channels to 0.

Cheers

It sounds like you might have recorded some attributes in the cues by mistake - ie. red at zero with green at 100%. You can check this with view cue (or include + channel grid/programmer etc.)

You can remove unwanted values with OFF but in this case it's probably easier to re-record: Sel fix, red @ 100%, store, clear, sel fix, green @ 100%, store, clear, sel fix, blue @ 100%, store, all @ zero, clear. [Edit Times] toggle modes.

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious but it easily happens.

For the clear values to work you must select the fixtures first. If you need a way to zero without selecting then I'd just create a palette.
