Olie mentioned in that thread you might need a special patch to get thumbnails working for Arkaos at the moment. It also only works on the pro version according to other posts there.

If your problem is you cannot actually see the active fixture to patch because of network problems then check the manual section 13 for understanding IP addresses. I think that explains far better than I could here.

Hi,

at the moment, it's like this:

- for the CITP thumbnails, you would need a CITP update - a little file you need to install on the desk. Contact your dealer or Avolites service to get this file (will be present in the upcoming Titan version by default)
- with that, you can have the ArKaos thumbs on the desk. However, since in ArKaos VJ (the old one, version 3.6) only a limited subset of CITP is supported, you will encounter some strange behavior. E.g. changes in the ArKaos library will not be recognized by the desk unless you re-patch the fixture. Hence, you should at first invoke all videos into ArKaos before patching the fixture.
- full CITP support is reportedly present in the newer ArKaos versions (couldn't test this myself).

As for the (second) touchscreen: the Avos showed this on PLASA, hence maybe someone could specify suggested Touchscreen models...

Cheers, Sebastian

Hi, this may be an obvious question, so I apologise if you've already checked what I'm about to ask:

Are the Arkaos and the console on compatible network addresses?

If so have you tried running the devices through an Ethernet router?

Hi, no you shouldn't have them on the same IP address, the ones you have there are fine.

You should also check the subnet mask on both devices is 255.0.0.0

You could also try turning off the firewall on your Arkaos, in case this is causing issues.

Have you updated to the latest version of the personality library? http://www.avolitesdownload.com/PersonalityFiles/Downloads/PearlExpertTitanFixtureLibrary.exe

Also, can you tell me how many layers your Arkaos is running and if possible the software version number.

Thanks for your patience, we'll get this figured out soon!

I'll update our Arkaos in the office in the morning and test it against a Pearl Expert and go through it with you that way.

I'd still update the library in your desk as we release new updates to personality files five time a week!
