pre-setting chase speed - Pearl Tiger

Postby ajh51 » 15 Sep 2010, 13:58

Hi all,

I'm slowly getting to grips with the Pearl Tiger that I operate at church but I have a chase question that I've not found the answer to on here yet.

I have a dimmer chase running on my blinders that I'm using to step through the row of blinders in turn and then finish on the last step - which is all the blinders on 100%.

That all works fine and I can set the speed of the chase during programming and during playback, but I'd like to be able to override the default speed BEFORE I trigger the chase. Ideally I'd tap in the beat of the music and then when I trigger the chase it is already in time.

Is there anyway to connect to a chase that isn't running to do this?

Also I've read about a bug in the tap operation... is that bug present in the Tiger too?

Thanks,
Andy.

Unfortunately this is not possible on the Tiger.

I don't know about the tap issue.

Oh well, I'll have to think of something else then..

I guess I can always control it manually using the stack and the go button... ...time to go back to the manual.

Anyway, thanks for the quick response.

you can rise fader just a little (few % is enough) - chase will start to run and you will be able to control chase speed, but no actual output will be visible. However this is true only for HTP (intensity) chases.
