Diamond 4 Titan

Postby EmmaThompson » 29 Jul 2010, 15:12

We are very pleased to announce that Diamond 4 Titan will be launched at PLASA this year! After months of in-house testing, it is now in Preview, and will be doing the rounds of festivals, including Global Gathering, Bloodstock and Summer Sundae before taking the stage on our PLASA booth alongside our 2 new Titan consoles, and the Preview of Titan V4 for Expert and Tiger Touch. D4 Titan includes 61 new features and improvements from 2.4, and sees features of Titan from the Pearl Expert and Tiger Touch, plus some unique to the D4. Our top ten are:

- Selective clear – Knockout Groups and Fixtures from the Programmer, to use, simply hold ‘shift’ then press the fixture/group key to clear – super fast!
- Record cue list from existing cues – simply choose the cues in the desired order, and assign them to an empty handle
- Quick palettes, as seen on Expert and Tiger Touch. Quick because there’s no need to select fixtures or have to press clear afterwards.
- The ability to save times and fixture overlap values into palettes, makes timed palettes easier to use and manage.
- Attribute times and fanning times on wheels speeds up time programming.
- Double press ‘@’ to set value to Full, useful for Dimmer, CMY, et cetera.
- Cue list tracking can be toggled on/off per playback.
- Cross load shows between Titan consoles. Program a show on a D4 and run it on an Expert or vice versa. The ‘save show in old format’ feature even allows you to save a Titan showfile and use it in 2.4!
- You can now filter search in the patch menu, making patching so much quicker!
- Release from one playback to another, makes it a breeze to temporarily override a look.

So in September there will be 2 new desks presented?

Can you allready tell what size of desks? Smaller then a expert, or bigger then a pearl, but smaller then a diamond? 1 midrange desk, but capable to have more fixtures (LED fixtures)?

One smaller than a Tiger Touch, one larger than an Expert, smaller than a D4. You'll have to come to PLASA and see them for a demo!

Aaah, i see it on the Plasa site. A Sapphire touch, with 2 touchscreens and 45 motorised faders. Nice!

Are there any changes made in the way of using the shape generator?

Can't wait to see the new soft and hardware!

Changes made to shape generator already seen in Titan for the Expert and Tiger Touch will now be seen in the D4 when we release Titan. There are currently no "new" addititons unique to D4.
