Running Pearl 2004.
When i save color palettes sometimes when i call them back up the colors mix rather then changing.
For example I have a Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow palette.
I start out by locating fixtures to get them white i push cyan its goes to cyan, then i push mag and it mixes to give me that deep purple/uv color, then when i push yellow its goes black.
Is this a result of error in programming the palettes or something else?
And another weird thing....Say i program a few palettes well i then go through them multiple times and then say afer about 15 minutes i can't call any of them up. However, if i turn the board off then turn back on they all call up fine. It's very strange, but looking for a possible reason why it is.
Thank you

1st problem - error in programming. When storing CMY palletes, you should first 'touch' (change) all CMY parameters to get them in programmer (even if their values are 0.0%) and only then save the pallete. This also applies to pan/tilt.
2nd problem sounds like pallete masking - when you recall pallete, it recalls only parameters from parameter bank witch is selected at the moment. So, if you have pan/tilt parameter selected in parameter banks, it will recall only palletes containing pan/tilt.
I can recommend to read palletes section in pearl manual to get this all sorted out

I have read the palettes section many times lol
I always make sure to touch the values to set to 0 too.
These are problems the other house ld is having so maybe next time he is programming palettes i will sit with him and make sure he is touching to set other values to 0.
Thank you for the help
