Azure Shadow selecting extra fixtures

Postby theisbr » 09 Apr 2010, 03:28

I am running an Azure Shadow 2004, usually in theatre stack mode, but I am having some frustrations when creating my looks on stage. Initially it just happened when I was selecting dimmers, but now I am noticing that it happens when I select fixtures too. I will start with a cleared programmer and press the "DIMMER" button, a page select button (Usually page 1 or 2), and then select some dimmers via the select buttons. When I go to change the dimmer value, one of fixture's intensity value also changes. Somehow this fixture has also been selected. Usually the offending fixture is the same select button i.e. #1 from the Dimmer page and #1 from the Fixture page, but I have noticed that it will also happen with random fixtures too. The offending fixture is almost always on Page 1. This has become a little more frustrating lately as we have increased the number of fixtures we are using and I am constantly finding that a fixture is not at the desired intensity. I have found that if I press my dimmer select button 3 times (select, de-select, re-select) it is less likely to also select a fixture. The console has only ever selected one extra fixture even if I select a range of dimmers. I am not using Groups, so I do not know if it occurs with those buttons too.

Has anyone else experienced this anomaly? Is there a quick fix for this?

Thanks
Brian

So I was watching my Azure console and discovered that the extra fixture is selected when I press the "@" button on the White number pad in the upper left quadrant of the console. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix for it?
