Viewing Palattes above 10

Postby Beaker » 12 Dec 2008, 01:51

I've saved 11 color palattes in positions 1-11. Normally I simply lable them with tape. For kicks tonight I decided to learn how to put them in the A-E keys. No problem, easey even without a keyboard. BUT....Only 1-10 is displayed. Anyway to access above 10 on the display or is 1-10 the locked default locations?

hmmmm.....Played around with it some more, looks like I don't understand how the pages work. I'll keep playing.

Softkey palettes are divided into ten pages (1-5/6-10)
Then each page contains 20 palettes across four pages of five.
Due to the way the Sapphire works these are arranged a little strangely:

page 1 will give 1-5. 6-10, 101-105, 106-110.
page 2 11-15, 16-20, 111-115, 116-120 etc.

These correspond directly to fixture handles (up to 90 on standard Pearls and up to 200 on Expert. Note that there is a maximum of 200.)

With some care it is possible to lay things out cleverly to work both on the preset add buttons and the softkeys, even within sets of five etc. On a standard Pearl it is especially useful for the higher palettes and the menu will always remember where it last was.
