hard to describe..
Conventionals are on line A, output 1.
Martins are on line B output 2.
i patched some fixtures on line C, their output is crossing over to line A.
Line A is outputting on DMX 1, line C is outputting on DMX 1 and 3.
It's fun watching the dimmers on line A move with the fixtures on line C, but it won't work for a show.
lines B and D, on outputs 2 and 4, do not do this.
Is there a setting i missed somewhere to fix this?
pearl 2008: DMX lines A and C are crossing on output 3

I checked that, and it's good.
here's what the problem is- the console sends Line C's output through pins 4 and 5 on ourput 1. Normally, that's not a problem, that's a bonus.
Here's the problem- the Avo Art2000 dimmer rack we have (we're loyal, huh) reads the DMX signal on pins 4 and 5, and thinks it's the input signal it wants, so it combines the output on pins 1 and 2 (Line A) along with the signal on pins 4 and 5 (Line C)
Putting a 5 pin to 3 pin in, and a 3 pin to 5 pin out set of adapters cured the problem.
Now... question is... how do I tell the Art 2000 to behave itself and stop reading the extended mode Martin pron coming over pins 4 and 5? (other than use the adapters... i only have the one pair, and they're needed elsewhere)
