"The Pearl 2010 software allows a USB connection between the Pearl and a PC, giving added functionality such as stage Visualisation."

Is it possible to upgrade a Pearl 2008 to do this?

I 'think' there is no difference between the two consoles other than cosmetic. But I could be wrong.

The Pearl 2008 manual say's that the usb port in the rear panel is for future use. I had a question about connecting a laptop to the console about a year ago and Olie replied that it was not possible. I am just curious if there is a software upgrade. I guess I could just plug one in and see what happens

There is no Pearl 2010 software and there is no ability to use the USB port for visualiser.

I believe this is a mistake then and I have asked for it to be removed.

This may be a possibility in the future but for the moment there are no plans to release a 2010 version of the Pearl software.
