Diamond 4 : Can it happen? Shape in the Pallete

Postby Kohei » 15 Sep 2006, 02:22

1.can i put only the shape in the pallete?

I know we can put the shape in the cue.
but this won't work for other fixtures when it's in a cue.

and

2."share" and "normal"

When I wanted use the position pallete with other fixtures, it doesn't work. coz, this is recorded by normal.

plz tell me other way to make it "Share" in use!

Thanks!

Hi Kohei,

I know that in a Pearl/Saphire you cannot do this...and it wouldn't suprise me if you could not on the D4.

However it is a D4, so any spare handles you have you could use to store a 'look'. But obviously in record by fixture & LTP mode... I guess you would need to do one for each fixture; ie Mac500 Circle, Mac500 Pan Swing etc then re-do them with 600s.

I am however sure that theres someone here that knows the exact answer.

What sort of work is it that you do? If you are into band work then I guess you could create a selection of fans - then us the standard '20 then pallette' which would move the movers to/from the pallette in 20 seconds.

One of the things I like about the D4 is that using the handles as cue stores you can put up useful things on the handles and not need to change page. Ie stage colours, fixture intensities and then leave the subs for your shapes/cues etc.
Cheers

yes, you can store only the shape in a pallet.
f.e
1: you put your macs in position
2: press clear
3:re-choose your macs
4: press rec pallet, then softbutton D followed by A (all pan/tilt channels or whats in the programmer)
5:press the UP button and finally press the flashbutton where you want it

this is a slightly looooong way to record a pallet, but its atleast working.
Do this in rec by channel mode2
works good for me.

regards, Tompa
