Hi Guys,
yesterday evening I had a strange lockout on my Pearl 2000.
After some hours of programming the desk refused to record any more memory's or chase's... The memory-remaining mentioned "0%", but I had only something like 40 submaster with programmed memories or chases.... so way to early for a real "memory full" situation...
The display also mentioned "E-994cde" somewhere near the memory-remaining data, but totally un-aligned with the rest of the display-content...
After changing to run mode I could run the show without any problem, even in takeover.... but creating any new memory or chase was refused...
I made a backup of the show on floppy.... I did a wipeall, which solved the problem, and removed the "E-994cde" message....
But when I reloaded the show from floppy the errormessage came back in, just like the 0% remaining thing...
PS: This happened 1 hour before showtime so I decided to leave the content "as is", and run the show with it (any some takeover mode...).... Doing a wipeall and re-programming everything (and something more) would have taken me more time than I had....
Any ideas?
Greetz,

I've heard of a similar situation before although I have no idea what caused it. Presumably corruption in memory occured.
Frequent backups are useful just in case something like this happens, although obviously a bit of a pain with floppy.
FYI the 'E' message was a bus error, fully viewable through System menu. Not much help to you but might be useful to trace fault.
