Pearl Tiger

Postby (iCe) » 02 Sep 2007, 15:39

I wonder why, but Avo's dealers seem to be a bit quicker in spreading news around customers. Our dealer in Holland released a press release about a new Avo console: "Pearl Tiger".

Most important features:

• 2048 channels (4 universes)
• 10 Playback faders, extendable to 15 faders with extra playback wing. 30 preset faders.
• Avo operating system (as usual)
• Full Avolites Pearl personality library on-board
• 8" Colour TFT

I can't find any information on it on the Avolites website, but maybe I'm looking in the wrong places...!? It sells for 6105 euro's, which is kinda cheap compared to the full-blown Pearl (Expert).

Actually first press I read was around a month ago:

Not on site presumably because it isn't released yet. Have one here on test at the moment. Seems good. Lightweight, compact & very powerful for footprint. Same hardware and software as 2008 but no floppy. Should suit schools/small theatres well.

Hmmm, still a bit strange the Avo site doesn't even mention it. I would think they would be proud to announce a new console.

Nicely priced and still very scalable this could indeed be a nice one for the smaller venues!

I'm more surprised someone's listing it as available complete with price!
