:?: My external monitor will not come on,(pearl2004)It wants to sleep in.

Boris 2 or Boris 3 Mother board?
Have a look to the graphic card. Normally if the graphic is ok you should see on the internal display (motherboard) during the booting sequence "VDU" just before "/ OK".

It's a borris 3,vdu does not display during boot up!
Is it the card?

If during the boot, VDU is not displayed on the internal display mounted in the mother board, it mean that the motherboard did'nt see the graphic card.

$Have a look to the graphic card if it 's well inserted in the connector. Sometimes it happen because you can move the card during plug and unplug your VDU conector.
This was the problem on very old pearl, strange to see it in a borris 3.
