Console Update

Postby genejanes » 01 Nov 2024, 07:26

Hello,
At work we use the Tiger Touch 2, but as my boss hasn’t updated it since he buyer it, it runs version 12. My question is, how do I update the console. Of course with an usb drive. But like what versions can I update to and what steps do I have to follow in terms of upgrading and updating? Thanks for your help.

You can check this page to see what versions are supported. You can either type in the serial number into the search box or look through the Console Table to find it. The Supported Software Version column shows the maximum version that can be installed, if the console is running version 12 this should mean that there is an AvoKey installed in the console.

If the latest version of software, v17.1, is supported on your console you should download Tiger Touch II v17.0 Recovery Creator, this should be run on a separate PC connected to the Internet and will format a bootable USB stick that can be used to install the complete operating system of the console. Instructions are provided next to the download, please ensure you have backed up any show files or custom personalities before running the recovery.

From v12.0 if you just want to install v15.1 this can be done using the Tiger Touch v15.1 Upgrade Installer, this just runs on the console itself either by browsing to the installer in Folders or by using the Control Panel > Titan Installers menu. There is a similar upgrade installer to go from v17.0 to v17.1 which runs in the same way.
