Palette Problem

Postby Locoman » 27 Mar 2018, 12:08

Hi,

I load a show from a Arena v10.1 to a Quartz v10.1 using 3 High End Systems DL3 and I deleted the 3 DL3 to patch 3 Robe DigitalSpot 7000DT (fixture exchange doesn't work) and when I select de DS7K to record a palette the positions and gobos an beams windows goes to lightless state and when I record the palette stays the same and the palette not work. Everything in those windows not work.

In v10 I never had that problem!

Any oideas?

Thank you

By default the palette windows will mask to attribute group. If the attributes being recorded are not in the relevant group they will not record. The IPCGBES indicator above the wheel display will highlight to show which attribute groups are currently in the programmer and you can see the contents of a palette in the IPCGBESFX indicator at the bottom of the palette handle. You can override the mask via the record palette menu (PALETTE/[Record Palette] or Avo+PALETTE).

I put pan and tilt in place but P (position) doesn't select in palettes windows, none of the functions lights up, none of the IPCGBESFX atributes are light but I have use that atributes.

It seems ok when I test. How are you recording the palettes? At the moment the only thing I can think of is if you used the record palette manu and position is excluded from the mask.

I set up the fixtures with what I need, press palette button, then record palette on the screen (button B) and then hit space on windows palettes that is how I allways do and works.

The palettes are almost certainly greyed out because you have the 'filter relevant palettes' user setting enabled (default) and they contain information for other fixtures. So this is correct and should not be a problem.

After pressing the record palette softkey B there is a softkey that shows the mask with an indicator showing the included attribute groups. Does that show all the releveant attributes as included (for example IPCGBESFX, or at least PG in this case)? If not you can select the mask softkey and then toggle the required attributes to include by pressing the relevant attribute bank buttons.

That should not actuallly cause a problem. It just greys out palettes that don't contain information for the selected fixture(s). If you merged into one it would then highlight.

Main thing is it is solved though!
