Recently, when I add new fixtures to my show, the color palettes aren't working (they're grayed out)... I have to redo them every time. It used to work fine.. but starting doing this a couple weeks ago and I don't recall making any changes anywhere within user settings but I obviously did something wrong.
Titan Mobile running 9.1
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!

Re: Color palettes losing information
This suggests that the palettes don't contain any information relevant to the fixtures selected (user setting 'filter relevant palettes' enabled).
What type of palette are they? ie. 'Global', 'Shared' or 'Normal' (denoted by 'G', 'S' or 'N' in the palette handle).
'Global' palettes should work for any fixtures, whether they are already patched or added later as long as the palettes and fixtures have suitable attributes (currently dimmer, pan, tilt and colour mixing components).
'Shared' palettes will apply to all fixtures of a particular type, including any additional ones added after the palettes have been created.
'Normal' palettes will only work for the specific fixtures recorded (unlike 'Global and 'Shared' types these allow for different values for the same controls across fixtures of the same type, for example a 'fan out' position).
Palettes can contain a combination of any of the three types. Where there is a combination of types that are all suitable for a particular fixture the 'Normal' values will take priority followed by 'Shared' then 'Global'. If 'preset palettes' are enabled when patching, any palettes defined in the personality file will be automatically created according containing this information as 'Shared' types and, where there are palettes with suitable attributes (ie. pan, tilt and colour mixing components) also the 'Global' version of the same data. Note that the 'Global' data from preset palettes is defined by the first suitable fixture patched with the option enabled.
You can check the contents of a palette by pressing the View (or 'Open') key followed by the palette handle. 'Global' data will have 'GLOBAL' as the row header, 'Shared' will have the fixture name and 'Normal' will have the user number.

Re: Color palettes losing information
All of palettes have GS in them and the filter relevant palettes is enabled.. I'm really at a lost as to why it's not working. Hopefully 10.1 will rectify the problem.
Re: Color palettes losing information
Have you checked the contents of the palettes to see if they definitely contain something relevant to the fixtures?
Re: Color palettes losing information
Do the palettes still work when they are greyed out? You can still attempt to apply the palette even when it is greyed out, if they do still work then then you can consider turning off the Filter Relevant Palettes user setting to work around the issue.
Re: Color palettes losing information
I was hoping that 10.1 would resolve this problem but it has not.. the contents of the pallets do not have something relevant to the fixtures for some reason and they do not work if grayed out. I have gone back to see when this started happening and it seems to be about 4 months ago (possibly when I started using a different computer while main computer was in shop for repairs) I took pictures of all of the settings from 4 months ago and compared them with recent show... they are identical, so I guess my workaround is to go back 4 months and just reprogram any any changes that I have made.
Thanks for all of your suggestions!

Re: Color palettes losing information
I have decided to start programming a whole new show this year due to the fact that I have had this same show since purchasing the TM and have acquired quite a few bugs over the years... but right off the bat I am having problems.. I am saving my color pallets as Global but no matter what lights I patch into the console every color button is grayed out and doesn't work... I've gone back and looked at my last show when it worked fine and I can see no difference in the settings.
Now that I think about it, the last time I had this problem is when I had to use my MacBook Pro (using bootcamp and windows 7) as a backup and the new programming that I have done so far is on the same computer... Hmmm
I'll get back with you after I get back to my Dell running windows 10 and load the show.
