Chases

Postby neil » 27 Jun 2006, 17:45

Hi chaps,

a little bit of a tricky quesiton for you all......

For a club I have started doing work in I have created a chase.

There are three bars and there is a Mac600 on each one. Basically after 10 seconds or so the bars change colour, ie Bar 1 becomes bar 3's colours, bar 2 becomes bar 1s colours etc.

What I am finding is that the rich colour wash ony works for a second then for 9 seconds goes to a blacky colour as a 'crossfade'...

What I am wondering is; can I have the steps changing every 10 seconds without a crossfade??

Cheers

Of course! When connected, simple xfade is on the second wheel.

Timings can also be altered through Edit Times menu. By 'unfolding' the chase you can fade times for each individual step (complex chase).

you mean that if i unfold a chase, move up the fader of a step, select a time, and do the same with other steps i can have a different time for each step?
Or should i do some other operations after having set the last step time?

Edit Times works the same through unfold or globally. After selecting the Edit Times softbutton you press the swop of either the whole chase or, when unfolded, of the step you wish to edit.

Then you can set Wait in/out, Fade in/out and LTP Fade/Wait times. When unfolded these times can be set individually for every step. Press ML key to make times simple (ie. same for every step). Press <enter> after you have finished.

Please give the manual a read ;)
