Playback rate master/bpm?

Postby deepain » 09 May 2017, 04:04

Is there a way to record a bunch of playbacks with moving light positions and have a fader control the fade time? Or even do it manually with a fader? I'm finding that pressing "10 + playback button" for a 10 second fade is pretty tedious after a while and I end up looking at the number buttons more than the stage to make sure that I get it right.
I tried making different pages with each page having it's own fade time, but that is a lot of programming

Possibly use position palettes and set the master palette time as required. There are some factory macros to set the master palette time to some predefined values (0, 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 10, 15 and 20 seconds) and with the Quick Palettes user setting enabled (it should be by default) you can trigger the palettes without selecting any fixtures and values will not go into the programmer.

Another option might be to record the fade time in a palette and use that when creating your playbacks. That way whenever you change the time in the palette it will update all the playbacks.
