missing words in manual ?

Postby Manu » 27 Sep 2016, 15:13

Hi,

I'm translating the v10 manual, but I can't do the sections 9.3.5 and 9.3.6 :

9.3.5 Using Update to change tracked cues

Because fixture settings in a cue list are tracked through from
previous cues, if you want to edit a setting you need to find the cue
where it was originally set.

The Update function will go back through the cue list from the
currently fired cue and automatically update the correct cue.

1> With the cue list fired, select the fixtures and change them to
the settings you want to store.
2> Press .

Editing a cue list which is running

You can also edit cues in a cue list while you are running it without using Unfold.

1> Fire the cue list by raising its fader.
2> Use Wheel A to select the cue number you want to change then the to jump to it.
3> Press Clear to make sure the programmer is empty.
4> Make the changes that you want to the current step.
5> Press , then select [Replace], [Merge] or [Insert After] to save
the changes (pressing Rec.Step again will select Merge).
6> Press the to jump on to the next step.

• You can edit the times for a cue using the Live Time and Next
Time buttons (not on all consoles) as follows:
5> Press the to jump on to the next step.

Could someone complete it ?

Thank you

This is probably because the button presses are slightly different depending on the console, the final versions of the manuals on the website appear to be correct. On original Tiger Touch and Pearl Expert consoles there is no Update button so instead you press Record Cue and select Update from the menu, similarly some consoles have a Rec. Step (Record Step) button which does the same as Record followed by Connect/Cue.

It should be the Snap Next button rather than Go to match up with the manual.

It looks like the PE, TT and PC Suite manuals are correct (although TT probably needs revising for TT2). However the Arena and Quartz have blanks as per the above and the ST manual is AWOL.

Thanks Nic, looks like I had randomly checked all the ones that were correct and not looked at the others. The link to the Sapphire Touch manual has been fixed and it appears to have the correct wording.
