Sunstrip Active dmx

Postby sdm » 24 Feb 2016, 20:50

TT2 (V9) running Sunstrips. All working fine, running shape Generator to create effects. But can't seem to set a intensity to stop them outputting lower than 100% while building the effect as the shape runs across them. Have selected intensity parameter, percentage wheels up and down but has no effect on output. long Week must be missing something. any help appreciated.

Not sure if you meant to say stop outputting below 100%? Since they can't go any higher that would suggest just a cue at full and shapes are irrelevant.

As a general rule of thumb setting an origin of 50% and size 50% will get a smooth dimmer shape running between zero and full.

Sorry I wasn't very clear. running the shape fine but wan't to reduce the dimmer intensity across all the lamps when the shape is running, so they are not acting like blinders,

Group Master

Copy > 'All Sunstrips' to a Playback fader
And it now works as a Group Master, whatever shape or chase is running, the intensity is controlled by that master.

Brill, I was sort of heading down that route but wasn't sure? So if I copy all the sunstrips to a playback master, then set that to the dimmer intensity I want ,then run the shape generator over the selected units with the parameters I want. then record this. when I playback the dimmer intensity will be as required ?

The group master has no effect on the recording values.

If you want to record a lower intensity, just set the 'size' lower with the wheel, and then record.

Exactly. If all you want is a lower level on the effect then just set the origin and the size to suit (where the origin is the midpoint). So, for example 10% dimmer, 10% size or something like that.
