Hi,
I've got a question about patches and fixtures!

I got 2 new Spot movingheads from a no Name Company. They arme verry simular to the Eurolite tmh 30. But the dmx adresses are different( for example: Dimmer on Channel 1 with the Original ones and Channel 6 with my ones). How can i Chance that in my Consol?
I know it from my etc Element, where that is called a custom fixtures.
So my question is: is that possible and How dös it work?

Hi Ehrig,

unfortunately this is not possible 'inside the console'. You need to change the personality (you can request a new one, or make it yourself using a separate PC), and import the new personality into your console.

You can use any basic text editor. There is more information in the manual.

In the Manual i found this: " You cannot currently add your own definitions to it, so you will have to load your custom personalities from disk in the time-honoured fashion".
What dos that mean?

That just refers to the cache. It is not important.

When using Usb the personality files need to be in a particular directory. The easiest way is to use the Copy2008 application available from the downloads page. Instructions are included.

So i Copy the fixture from the Website into my Texteditor and then i can Chance it. Afterwards i copy the changed fixture into the Pearl copy 2008. ant from there Transfer it into the console!??

Edit/create the R20 file in a text editor, follow the instructions for copying to Usb stick and then place in console to patch.

Or, as Sebastian said in his original reply, you can request the personality by filling in the form here. In order to create the personality as quickly as possible please include your console's serial number and documentation (or links to) containing full DMX mapping information. When attaching documents they must be in either .pdf or .zip format.
