I have a music piece that I want to timecode a lightshow for. How do I connect my Mac to a Tiger Touch (Titan 8.0) so it can steer the the light show? What kind of cable do I need?
Or is it possible to put the music peace directly on the console and output it from there?
In short what's the best way to proceed?

Re: Timecoded lightshow
Depends from how you want to work, and what tools and software you have available.
Either you put it on the console and run it with Winamp (Tools -> Additional programs). Pro: no additional hard- or software required, and you can even control Winamp from the console. Con: the Winamp UI is somewhat fiddly, and the only sound output is that mini jack, unbalanced.
Or: you run it on the Mac, provided you have a software which can add MIDI Timecode (e.g. Ableton). Additionally, you need an adaptor to MIDI, and a MIDI cable which goes into the console. Pro: better sound quality (in theory), you can concentrate on doing lights with the console, and have a more flexible and separate control for the Audio part. Con: more hard- and software required.
In any case, you need to be familiar with programming a cuelist, and controlling this by timecode.
