JB Systems LED Tube Brightness Channel?

Postby hamasys » 16 Nov 2005, 10:03

Hello Avos!

We use the JB System LED Tubes (mostly in ffect mode) on our Avo Pearl 2004, unfortualy there is not bightness channel existing, that means the LED's are still shining if the Brightness master fader is set to zero.
Is there a possibility to solve the problem?
Is it possible to define a Brightnes Channel?
Thanks for efforts

Thats a bit of a tought one. I've just looked at the personalities and Im afraid you might have difficulty doing this.

At present how do you kill the LED's in both effect mode and RGB mode?

I've stored a palette where dmx Ch. 1 (Effect) is set to zero (Closed) but that's very inexpertly.

Ok, well as things stand it looks like the only thing you'll be able to do is operate the intensity using RGB mode only.

At presetent channels Red, Green and Blue are all LTP. If you change those channels to HTP this should enable you to have control over them from the Preset Fader.

However the effect mode version of the personality won't allow you to do this as the desk does not control Red Green and Blue as individual channels when in that mode. The best thing to do would be to create a Macro or to continue using your palette.

Please be aware that you are only allowed a maximum of 400 HTP channels on the Pearl. So with a fixture with RGB set to HTP you will only be allowed 133 fixtures.
