2000-2004 invalid program

We have a pearl 2004. After a gig it came back with soft 2000 installed. Prob. the light guy did a re-program. Now trying to put back the 2004 soft I´m getting an error "invallid program". After this the board is not working, only after installing the 2000 soft. used the soft from the avo-side
What are we doing wrong??

Strange.

Have you tried performing a wipeall before installing?
You might need to update the AVOS before installing the 2004 software.

Neither of the above should have to be done, but is all I can think of.

Nothing seems to help to get the software loaded. loading 2000 is no problem, updating avos is no problem. Loading 2004 it stays on 0% loaded and says, hit any key. after that run system and comes invallid program. I think we have to use candles to night, unless 1 of masterminds has an solution.

I think I've had that problem before, and it turned out the disks I were using just weren't being read properly. Make sure they have been formatted on the desk and try a few disks. Floppys are notoriously rubbish.

I agree. Sounds like a bad disk. Download software again and write to a new floppy if you haven't tried this yet.

I´v tried it all, swapping disk between 2000 and soft 2004, 2000 runs 2004 not. somtimes loads untill 4% and hangs. tried to update avos first, and after that the 2004 soft, same problem. going back to 2000 soft runs allways.

Ok, I´ve found the problem, it was my disk driver, I made another disk in a other computer and it worked.
So, problem solved!
